It has been a strange year for me this year. Not the worst year, but not the best either. I’ve made so many amazing memories, but have been struggling with my health (especially the end of the year). I’ve had a big Chronic Fatigue flare up and has resulted in my basically being bed bound and missing out on so much at the end of the year.
This post is just to reflect on some of my memories from 2018 and focusing on my goals for 2019.
Towards the beginning of 2018 I had an amazing trip to Edinburgh with my friend Becci. It was so nice to get away for a few days and to explore around somewhere new.
Then in the summer I had such a lovely holiday in France with my family. I still can’t get over how nice the weather was in the summer.
A goal of mine in 2018 was to hit 1000 followers on Instagram, and I did it! It may seem like such a small achievement to some people but to me it was huge. (I still can’t believe it)
I turned 21 years old in 2018. I had been counting down the days for months and months before. I had a lovely spa day with my mum, auntie and grandma. And had a party to celebrate turning 21 with all my family and friends. (I had been planning that party since I was 19 lol)
And that brings us into 2019.
How the hell is it 2019 already?? Where did 2018 go?!
In 2018 I felt like I was slowly starting to find myself, in my style, hobbies, in friends, in all kinds of senses. So I feel like this year could be a good one for me. I thought I would share some of my goals for 2019, mainly so I can look back at the end of the year and see if I managed to accomplish them.
- Self care/self love. My main aim this year is to really take care of myself and learn to be really comfortable being me and to be the most confident me.
- Have a healthy lifestyle. This one kind of ties in with the first one as I want to try and change my eating and lifestyle habits to help with my health.
- To see my friends more. I’m such a home-body, I love to be at home, I love being by myself and I can often find that I’m isolating myself without realising. So this year I really want to make an effort to see my friends and family a lot more and just spend some quality time with them.
- To travel more. I have a trip to Australia planned for the end of March and I am hoping to be able to book a trip or two more this year too.
I’m keeping my goals fairly vague this year, no specific goals. To be completely honest my MAIN goal this year is just to be happy and to keep the people around me happy.
What are your goals for 2019?
