So I’m a bit late to the 2018 new year blog posts, but I thought it would be better late than never.
I have been hesitant to try and get back into blogging again as it seems every time I try I just can’t seem to find a good schedule or find a theme that I’m comfortable with. Over the last 8 months I have been having some health issues and have recently been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. This has had quite a big impact on me energy and motivation wise which I think is the reason why I have struggled with blogging. I was putting too much pressure on myself to get so many posts up a week and that just led to me posting a blogpost that I wasn’t 100% happy with.
This time around I won’t put as much pressure on myself! I will just go with the flow, post about what makes me happy and what I enjoy writing about and not have any time limits.
So as it’s the new year, I thought now would be the best time to start fresh!
I thought I would start off with some of my New Years resolutions, so I can look back this time next year to see if I achieved any of them.
I want to try and be more organised this year. Most of the time, due to my fibromyalgia I feel like I’ve got so much information in my head that I find it hard to focus and concentrate on anything. So to try and stay organised I have started a bullet journal, I’m having so much fun doing it!
I want to be more adventurous this year too, to do things I don’t normally do and go places I haven’t been before. I have a few trips planned already and I can’t wait!
I really want to start reading more books. I find it hard to read when I’m at home, there are so many distractions I find it difficult to switch off and zone out. I usually read while I’m on holiday, last year I read the book The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena. It was an incredible read! I was hooked and couldn’t put it down for days, and whenever I did I felt like I was missing something (lol)! I’m a fan of a thriller so if you have any recommendations then please let me know!
I am hoping to be posting a lot more often this year, but as I mentioned before I’m not going to pressure myself too much so please bear with me while I find what works best for me! Thank you for reading X
